United States Marine Corps Guadalcanal WIA Marine Corps Purple Heart Medal: MINT Condition All Original Sterling Type 1 USMC PH, Officially Hand Engraved "Pvt. / Paul S. Kizlaitis / USMCR." on Gilt Split Wrap Brooch, in Clean WWII Purple Case. Private Kizlaitis was from Grand Rapids MI, and was with HQ Co., 1st Bn., 7th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division. He was wounded just prior to November 9th, 1942 as that was the day of evacuation from the island. Officially Engraved WIA Hearts are fairly rare, as they stopped doing WIA Engravings shortly after the Guadalcanal Campaign due to growing need for the priority Posthumous Awards. Research Pending. Original Sterling Type 1 USN PH, Officially Hand Engraved "Orman R. / Wimmer / F2c / USNR". Near-Mint Condition On Gilt Split Wrap Brooch, in Clean WWII Purple Case. (Inquire) U.S. Navy Okinawa Kamikaze KIA Purple Heart Medal: Interesting Original Type 2 USN PH, Officially Hand Engraved "Junior R. / Carrick / S2c / USNR". On Gilt Wrap Brooch, in Very Clean WWII Short Titled Case. (Inquire) Posthumous U.S. Naval Aviation Purple Heart/Good Conduct/Campaign Medal Group: Original Type 3 USN PH (Slot Brooch), Officially and Beautifully Hand Engraved "Kenneth C. / Hawkins / AMM3c, / USN" in WWII Type II Short Titled Case. Original Impressed Naming USN Good Conduct Medal to "Kenneth / C. / Hawkins" in the Traditional UnDated form for a posthumous award, on correct Slot Brooch. American Campaign Medal, Asiatic Pacific Medal, and WWII Victory Medal all in Original Titled Envelopes as issued to the family. All items are in Mint to Near Mint Condition, with a small bit of oxidation to reverse of GC, and Minor but typical signs of age and oxidation to the campaign medals. The PH is in Mint Condition. Aviation Machinist Mate 3rd Class Hawkins was was most likely a Carrier Based "Second Seater" in a Navy Fighter Bomber, and was lost on January 21, 1944. Further Research is pending. (Inquire) Posthumous Invasion of the Philippines U.S. Navy Purple Heart Medal: Original Sterling Type 1 USN PH, Officially and Beautifully Hand Engraved with the typical flourishes "Harry H. / Lakeman / SK1c / USNR." on Gilt Split Wrap Brooch, in Clean WWII Purple Case. All in Excellent, clean solid condition, with minor signs of age and oxidation. Store Keeper 1st Class Lakeman was KIA on an LSM in October of 1944 by a Japanese Artillery round while supporting the invasion of Leyte. Excellent Copy Research included. (Inquire) Posthumous Atlantic U.S. Navy Armed Guard Purple Heart Medal with Certificate & Accolade: Original Sterling Type 1 USN PH, Officially and Beautifully Hand Engraved with the typical flourishes "Floy D. Muse / S1c, / USNR." on Gilt Split Wrap Brooch, in Clean WWII Purple Case. Medal has obvious signs of age and oxidation. Includes Inner Shipping Box, Original Roosevelt Accolade, and PH Certificate with a 4x6 Photo in uniform. Seaman 1st Class Muse was lost on a U.S. Army Transport in May 1943 and Presumed Dead. He is Memorialized on the Tablets of the Missing at East Coast Memorial in NYC. Copy Research included. Medal is in Near-Mint Condition with only minor signs of age and oxidation. Includes Original Roosevelt Accolade and PH Certificate. Seaman 2nd Class Metz was lost on November 25th, 1944 when ship was hit by Japanese Kamikaze off Luzon. Copy Research included. (Inquire) United States Army/Army Air Corps Early WWII Numbered and Cased Army Purple Heart: Nice clean 1942 Rex Products numbered "213285" strike, with lacquered center, on a slot brooch. Excellent condition, with some minor oxidation to brooch, and other very subtle and typical signs of age. (Inquire) WWII Cased Army Purple Heart: Nice clean unnumbered strike, with crisp detail, on a slot brooch, including RB/LP. Mint condition, in original wood framed black titled case. (Inquire) View WWII/Korea Boxed Purple Heart Gold Star Button "Mother's Pin": Original Next of Kin Purple Heart Lapel Button. Authorized in 1947 for issue to next of kin for service men and women, retroactive from WWI and later, who were killed in action. Mint Condition, in original satin lined box, with some very minor signs of age after 55+ years. Un-Initialed, and as such an un-issued original pin back. Issued in addition to the PH Medal to Mothers, Wives, Next-of-Kin in Honor of the loss of their family member. These are from the Original stock of badges that were made after the end of World War Two, and of High Quality manufacture. Issued in Honor of any United States Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, Air Force: Soldiers, Sailors, Marines, Airmen and Armed Forces Women lost in the service of this country.
