WWI SB Iron Cross 1st Class (EKI): Outstanding Multi-Piece 1914 Screwback EKI, marked "800" on all three major components (Base Cross, Retaining Plate, Screw Nut). Screw nut is marked "D.R.G.M. / 653146 /800 / PM". Excellent Condition, but does show signs of actually having been worn on a uniform. Nice Example of a hard to find variation. (SOLD) WWI Iron Cross 2nd Class Non-Combatant: Great example of hard to find variation. Clean original ribbon, black light tested to be non-synthetic early material. Hallmarked "KO" on the ring. (SOLD) WWI Iron Cross 2nd Class (EKII) with EKI Ribbon Bar: Nice Original Period example of this classic 1914-1918 medal. Hallmarked on ring "S-W" ?, with an original ribbon. Solid Condition, with typical signs of age and oxidation to iron center, ribbon, and silver rim. Comes with an interesting Ribbon Bar, that I believe designates a 1st Class Award, although this would typically be represented by wearing the full size medal on tunic. The pinback Ribbon Bar is marked "DRGM" on backing plate, with oxidation to the front Miniature Iron Cross Devise, but you can still see the Crown / W / 1914 in it. (SOLD) WWI Iron Cross 2nd Class (EKII) with Award Document: Very Nice Original example of this classic medal. Hallmark on ring is an "N", with nice solid full length original ribbon. Issued in the Field on 15 September 1917 to a soldier from the 11th Bavarian Reserve. (SOLD) Rare WWI Black Naval Wound Badge: ORIGINAL W.W. I Imperial German Navy Wound Badge in Black. Needle pinback, retaining most of its original finish. Awarded for 1-2 Wounds. Nice period stamped steel construction, with minor surface oxidation and signs of use. A very hard to find World War One badge with a great original aged patina. Possibly a U-Boat or Battle of Jutland award? (SOLD)
WWII German Chaplain Uniform Insignia: Extremely Rare Collection of Bullion Tabs and Visor Wreath. WWII Army Lieutenant's Uniform: Relatively Rare German Army Veterinary Officer's Uniform. This was a wartime bring back by a U.S. Armored Division Veteran. The Tunic is Named and 1943 Dated. (Inquire) WWII Anti-Partisan Badges: Trio with a Gold/Silver/Bronze that were said to be a U.S. Army 3rd Division Veteran bring-back, together in one stash. These are all cast, with hand finished edges, non-magnetic. The Dimensions are approximately 59mm High x 49mm Wide on all three, and the weight on the Silver is approximately 26.3 grams, with the other two in the 23-24 gram range each. There has been much discussion on whether these badges are Pre or Post 1945, but in the final analysis ALL have liked the Silver as being a Pre-May 1945 Badge, but the consensus on the other two is split. While I am VERY comfortable that the Silver is an Original Period item, I will have to let the ultimate buyer be the judge on the other two, as No One truly seems to know. The Gold Badge was heavily oxidized and, for better or worse, was cleaned by the current owner. This would most likely explain the odd finish to this badge. As these "Type II" badges were made late war, under crude casting conditions, there are broad ranges in quality and metal density (weights...), defying those that attempt to make specific guidelines to originality. The "quality" and quantity of fakes in this market has made everyone very cautious, and second guessing themselves. My gut reaction is that the set is period, and as such I will offer an extended 10 Business Day Return Policy (Twice the norm...), and let you be the judge once handled in person. This is one area that I will NOT claim expertise. These Badges have been viewed in person by many experienced collectors and dealers, and aside from the Silver, I haven't been convinced either way on the Bronze and Gold. (Price on Request) Detail Images Analysis WWII Iron Cross 1st Class (EKI): Nice Original example of this classic medal. UnHallmarked, as was common for issue pieces, with original components. (SOLD) WWII Luftwaffe Parachutist Badge: Original "G.H. Osang / Dresden" Hallmarked Para Badge. This is a good strike, with correct hinged needle pin. Looks to be the typical zinc base metal, showing typical age and oxidation coming through the gilding. Overall a Solid Original item. (SOLD) WWII Iron Cross 2nd Class (EKII): Nice Original example of this classic medal. UnHallmarked, as was common for issue pieces, with original ribbon. Ribbon is slightly soiled, and has a small tear in mid-reverse edge, but the REAL deal and a great "Been There" look and feel. (SOLD) WWII Female War Workers Badge: Badge ("Wehrmachtgefolge") for civilians working for the Armed Forces. This larger size is for women. Die-Struck, Bronze base metal or mixed alloy with bronzed finish, with pierced field, and approx. 36mm across. Hallmarked by Junker it appears: "....URF FEC. OTTO PLACZEK BERLIN / AUSF. C.F.JUNKER-BERLIN" Clean, REAL, with a typical German safety needle pin. ($75)WWII Hallmarked Infantry Assault Badge: Clean, REAL, Late War "R.S." This is the Silver Plated Tombak manufacture of later war production, with all original parts intact and solid. This is a crisp strike, with a tight wide tapered pin. The detail is outstanding in this die struck piece. This is the type of badge that would have been awarded to the troops manning the Normandy Coast Defenses prior to, and after, D-Day.
